The problem
When sensitive information is sent through a common channel, it can be copied, forwarded and remain available indefinitely. Segredo centralizes that information and provides mechanisms to control access.
What it is
Segredo lets you organize sensitive information into vaults, environments, teams or projects, applying specific controls for each need. It was designed to reduce uncontrolled circulation of credentials, tokens, confidential documents and instructions that should not remain loose in conversations or shared files.
The product architecture works with zero knowledge: open vault content should not be known by the backend, administrators or operators.
Features
Organize credentials, documents, instructions and sensitive information in controlled spaces by context, team or project.
Define who can access each piece of information, reducing unnecessary exposure and off-process sharing.
Create invitations and access envelopes for authorized recipients without delivering open content to the server.
Set validity, access limits and revoke invitations when sharing is no longer necessary.
Follow attempts, accesses and relevant actions to support governance, event investigation and operational review.
Separate information by areas, environments and responsibilities to preserve least privilege.
Support identity confirmation with MFA, security keys and vault opening according to account configuration.
Use a zero-knowledge architecture designed to protect data during storage, transmission and recovery.
Protect access instructions and monitor supported public wallet addresses without exposing private keys or seed phrases.
Plan future recovery of documents, family instructions and critical information by trusted people.
How it works
Store the information in the proper vault and keep sensitive content away from improvised channels.
Choose recipients, permissions, expiration and release rules according to the risk of each secret.
The authorized user receives access according to the defined conditions, with encryption applied throughout the flow.
Review relevant activity, check requests and close access when it is no longer needed.
Advanced rules
The product repository already documents and implements access, recovery, quorum and owner decision policies. This page presents those features carefully, without promising absolute guarantees.
Policies may require an owner decision before a recovery becomes eligible.
The owner can cancel requests and, when configured, explicitly veto a release.
Rules can define timeout-based release for eligible recovery invitations, according to the configured policy.
Recovery flows may require approvals from multiple participants before release.
Built-in security
It needs to be part of the product architecture. Segredo adopts a layered protection approach combining client-side encryption, access control, traceability, privacy and revocation processes.
Client-side encryption and cryptographic envelopes reduce exposure of open content to the backend.
Access is granted only to the people and teams that need that information.
Activity records support traceability, internal reviews and incident response.
Centralization of critical information reduces dependence on loose files, spreadsheets and conversations.
Crypto assets
In addition to traditional credentials, Segredo supports crypto asset inventories and public address monitoring. Users can track Bitcoin and Ethereum wallet movements and receive Telegram and/or email alerts when activity is detected.
This monitoring helps identify unexpected movement, whether caused by an attack attempt, shared key access or a need to follow activity closely. In some scenarios, especially with Bitcoin, the alert may give time for a response before the transaction is finally confirmed.
Register continuity instructions and wallet context while keeping private keys, seed phrases and tokens protected inside the vault.
Segredo includes a routine to monitor public Bitcoin and Ethereum addresses when monitoring is enabled.
Receive Telegram and/or email alerts and keep history to support quick response and audit review.
Family and inheritance
Segredo also serves families, relatives, partners and trusted relationships that need to plan future release of important information. Wills, inventory rules, signed official documents, financial instructions and essential access details can be stored and kept available only to the right people under the defined conditions.
Organize documents, accounts, financial instructions, insurance, digital access, inventory rules and important guidance.
Define family members, partners, lawyers, accountants or executors who may participate in recovery flows.
Use absence, owner response, quorum and recovery rules so crucial information is not lost during critical moments.
